This weekend, we planned to go to Apple Hill, but it was foggy and raining there (its a 2.5 hour drive) and instead, saved ourselves the trouble and ventured up to Virginia City (about 30-40 minutes from Reno). After 3+ years of living here, we finally decided to give it a shot. Virginia City is one of the most historical cities in Nevada + some parts are haunted! We went on a Haunted Tour through The Washoe Club & highly recommend it if you find yourself coming this way anytime soon. We didn’t spot any ghosts, but I know they were there!
It was raining most of the day, which was perfect for me to break out my rain boots…every day is a good day for rain boots. I styled my boots with some hunter green and plaid + a few gold accessories & BOOM… a great outfit was born.

Shirt: Ann Taylor / Jacket:c/o friend (similar here & here) / Jeans: Banana Republic / Boots: Hunter Boots / Handbag: Michael Kors / Ring: Brighton (old, similar here and here) / Necklace: World Market
Final verdict? Virginia City was fun, a good afternoon trip, but kind of like a more run down version of Old Sac. I would go back again, though, the jerky was yummy! Plus, I loved, loved this outfit! Hunter green and plaid are making their way into the latest trends this fall season and gold accessories are always a plus.
