Spring is almost here, which means it’s time to go shopping! Now I am all about buying items that are perfect transition pieces for your closet from Winter into Spring that you can get good wear out of all season long! Plus, I am sharing items I’ll be splurging on as well as items I’ll be saving on! If you are enjoying Spring already, I am so jealous! We’ve had snow the past two weeks, so March 20 seems so far away even though it’s tomorrow!
Perfect Transition – Tops
// Give me all the STRIPES! This skirt is gorgeous, but I can settle for this one here. I also picked up an affordable skirt, perfect for business casual and on-the-go looks!
// Okay, please tell me you are loving the bell sleeve + ruffle look that’s been around since last summer? Well, it’s here to stay! I am drooling over the button up bell sleeve. Even better, give me stripes and ruffles with this top. I found a similar option for half the price too!
// Pastels will always be a Spring closet staple, so I picked up my all time favorite long sleeve v-neck in light blue! I also have it in black, white, burgundy, and striped. It is great for layering or wearing with a cute bralette!
// Didn’t you hear? It’s a purple-filled year so I’d be lying if I didn’t think Lavender would make a huge spring debut! So I’ve got my eye on these tops right now (tie front and off the shoulder).
// Don’t forget the perfect denim jacket (I have like 3 different ones) and a white button up. Staples year-round, people!
Perfect Transition – Bottoms
// Pair these cute pom pom shorts with an oversized sweater for winter, then rock that crop top with a cute denim jacket for all of the Spring fun!
// You can never go wrong with some overalls. I found a similar dupe at my local TJ Maxx, but sometimes I wish I took the plunge to buy these!
// Splurge on denim that will last for years. My favorite pair of jeans are from 4 years ago that I still wear weekly. I’m about to buy a new pair and I’ve been eyeing a few options (these high waisted (always high waisted, ALWAYS!), these tulip hem line pair, and the classic black).
Perfect Transition – Dresses
// I love a great transitional dress! The simplicity of it and everything!
// Throw a denim jacket or moto jacket with some cute booties and you’re good to go with my favorite dress!
// You can never have too many simple dresses that you can dress up or down.
// I LOVE a good midi dress. Kit says I am too short for it, but I may go back and buy it!
Perfect Transition – Shoes
// Okay, I already snagged these espadrilles in Blush, but I may scoop up the taupe colored ones! They are so cute and comfy!
// I’m also loving these striped slides. White shoes will definitely be big this year.
// I am obsessed with these sandals! As the temps start to get warmer, I know these will be a staple well into Fall! I first saw them here, but couldn’t bring myself to fork over that much money. I found these two options (here and here) that are way more affordable (the white may be calling my name, too!). I grabbed these ones because I know they aren’t for comfort, just for looks!
Perfect Transition – Accessories
// Woven Tote Bags, yes please! I’m eyeing this cute tote as a dupe for this one. They will be a staple all season from Sunday Brunch to the beach!
// These earrings have been my go-to the past week and under $5! YES, PLEASE! I’ll be adding some more tassel to my life soon!
Whatever pieces you add, do so with intent. The worst feeling is purchasing something to wear it less than 5 times. I LOVE to wear my clothes out. They are pieces I feel confident in, pieces I could wear for years to come if they are staples, or pieces that will ALWAYS be worth the price I paid for them (whether that be splurging or saving!). Some of my go-to pieces are things that were less than $20, but I have my staple items that were $75+, and I would buy them over and over again!
What pieces are you adding to your closet this season?

I’m definitely on the border line with the woven straw totes. It needs to be functional and not itchy!
I am in love with the sole society espadrilles! Why are they sold out in Cognac though!! 🙁
